When people think about cosmetic manufacturing in Italy, they often imagine large industrial plants, glossy brochures, and cold corporate offices. Our story began in a very different way.

In 2021, in the middle of the global pandemic, Laboratori Sabatel was born in a small countryside village in central Italy. The first batches of creams were created not with high-tech machines, but with two Ikea pots and a kitchen blender. The “warehouse” was nothing more than the family kitchen table. And yet, from this humble beginning, we managed to export our very first products to Russia — shipping pallets of cosmetics straight from a condominium garage in Rome.



Growth Through Resilience

As demand grew, we moved into a 70 m² facility in the Roman hills, a former butcher’s shop converted into a laboratory. The conditions were far from ideal: in winter, the temperature would drop to 8°C inside. But with determination (and some creativity), we kept producing, even designing and importing our own 50-liter mixer from China to increase efficiency. During this phase, we had the honor of working with international clients from the Netherlands and Brunei, delivering thousands of products despite our limited resources.





Today: A Scalable and Modern Laboratory

In 2025, our journey took a decisive step forward. We relocated to Deruta, Umbria, into a 570 m² facility equipped with professional machinery:

a 200 L vacuum turboemulsifier,

a 50 L melting tank,

a 50 L inline mixer

an automatic ultrasonic tube filler,

2 semiautomatic jars and bottles filler,

2 crimping and collaring machines for perfumery

and a full labeling line with rotary tables.

This setup allows us to scale production efficiently while maintaining the flexibility and personal care that defined us from the start.
